What is Bocas Recycle Center?
Bocas Recycle Center (BRC) is an environmental and business initiative based in Bocas del Toro, Panama, dedicated to collecting, sorting, processing, and transforming recyclable materials.
Our mission is to reduce environmental impact on the islands, promote a circular economy, and turn waste into valuable new products for the community.
What materials do you accept?
We primarily accept:

We recommend materials be clean and properly separated to facilitate processing.
Do you accept broken glass?
Yes. We accept broken glass as long as it is separated from other materials. Our facility processes it into fine sand, aggregates, and other materials used in sustainable construction.
Do you buy recyclable materials?
Yes, we purchase certain recyclable materials depending on type, volume, and market conditions. Prices may vary. For updated information, please contact us directly.
Do you offer a collection service?
Yes. We provide collection services for homes, businesses, hotels, and restaurants in Bocas del Toro. We offer weekly and biweekly plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Do you make products with recycled glass?
Yes. We transform recycled glass into fine sand, construction aggregates, and light-traffic pavers. These products reflect our commitment to the circular economy.
How can I volunteer or support the initiative?
You can support us as a volunteer, corporate sponsor, or by promoting proper waste separation. We also organize educational workshops and community programs.
